Since it will be the highest tourism season in Japan called the “Golden Week”, it is strongly recommended to make reservation for air tickets AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Depending on you nationality, you may be required to obtain the Japanese visa for entry into Japan. Check in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HP to see if you need a visa.
Exemption of Visa (Short-Term Stay):
→ http://www.mofa.go.jp/j_info/visit/visa/short/novisa.html If you need a visa, you will either obtain a "multiple-entry" visa or a "short-term business affairs” visa. To apply for a "multiple-entry" visa, you can complete the procedure without any documentation from the Japanese side. However, in the case of "short-term business affairs” visa, the AWTC Secretariat will send the necessary documents to apply for a visa.
The period required from the visa application to the issuance of the visa is approximately 5 working days, but there may be cases where it takes more than a month before the issuance. So, it is suggested to start the visa application process early and allow enough time before your travel.

Below is an indicative list of countries NOT requiring the visa under certain conditions. Please check if you satisfy the conditions for visa exemption.

As shown in the above chart, there will be documents prepared by the AWTC Secretariat in Japan and sent to you, such as:
- Letter of Reason for Invitation
- Schedule of Stay
- Letter of Guarantee
- Other necessary documents.

Above documents will be prepared based on the information you provide in the Registration Form on the AWTC website. Therefore, please make sure that the information provided is accurate. If there are errors, it may cause delay in visa issuance.

亲爱的各位来自中国的老师
欢迎各位老师前来参加本次在日本召开的2015年AWTC大会。对各位的到来，我们感到无上的喜悦，期待与各位在日本相见。
为了各位老师能顺利地参加本次大会，我们特设立了专门的“签证团队”，希望在办理赴日签证时，助各位一臂之力。
以下是有关中国公民入境日本时，办理签证时的流程和基本信息。希望各位仔细阅读，选择适合自己的申请签证的方式。若需要我们帮助，请及时与我们联系。

赴日签证的基本信息
由于赴日目的、理由的不同，赴日签证的种类繁多。对于本次2015年AWTC大会的与会者来说，有以下三种可能性。
- 以2015年AWTC大会的与会者的身份申请：“短期商用”签证
- 以个人身份申请:“中国国民访日个人观光”签证
- 已经持有其它种类的赴日签证，此次不需要申请
请各位在填写报名表时，在填写申请签证一栏时，注明自己的类型。
申请签证的具体流程 : “短期商用”签证
申请时所需材料：申请时所需材料
- 签证申请表（从在华日本大使馆网站上可以下载）
- 照片
- 有效期超过6个月以上的护照
- 户口本复印件
- 在职证明书（要对职务有明确的记载）
以上内容由各位自行准备。
申请时所需材料：申请方提供的材料
- 招聘理由书（即邀请函）
- 身元保证书（即担保书）
- 滞在预定书（即行程表）
- 招聘机构的相关材料（即邀请方的相关证明）
以上材料由日本的AWTC筹备组为各位提供。我们将通过国际特快转递寄给各位。
通过旅行社等日本大使馆指定的机构办理签证手续。
根据各位所在区域的不同，受理签证业务的日本大使馆或领事馆也不同，请查讯有关情况。

办理签证时，需要缴付签证费，此外通过代理店办理，还要交纳代理费，费用由各自承担。
注意事项：申请到签证后，签证有效期为3个月，即从拿到签证后起，三个月内必须赴日，超过三个月，签证失效。因此各位老师在4月下旬赴日的话，请于春节过后的2月底或3月初办理签证比较合适。此外“短期商用”签证在日本的期限有15天、30天和90天三种。一般由日本大使馆酌情判断。
温馨提示
希望申请“短期商用”签证的各位老师，为了您能快速、顺利地申请签证，同时也为了我们大会筹备组高效地运营，我们建议各位，如果您所在的学校或同一地区内有两名以上的教师参加这次大会的话，希望能统一申请签证。这样可以避免分散申请时，主办方要出具大量的重复的证明的繁琐程序。如果您希望统一申请，请自行联系您身边的其他成员一起申请，并通知我们一起申请的成员的人数和每位成员的姓名（请在申请表的签证栏上注明和某某教师共同申请）。谢谢各位的配合。
“中国国民访日个人观光”签证
该签证的申请也必须通过旅行社等代理店办理。需要材料请自行向所在地的代理店咨询。而且据说不同的代理店，受理代办业务时，所要求的材料和条件也不同。例如有些大型旅行社要求出具申请人的房产证，而有些代理店则只需要出示银行存款证明即可。请具体咨询。
申请“中国国民访日个人观光”签证的老师，不需要日本的AWTC筹办组出具任何材料。所有材料都由申请者自行准备。

- 请查看您的护照的有效日期，确认护照的有效日期在半年以上。
- 请确认您填写的签证申请表和大会报名表的信息准确无误。
- AWTC大会召开期间正值日本的“黄金周”，是日本的旅游旺季。因此建议您尽可能提早预约赴日机票。
- 从提交签证申请资料到拿到签证一共需要五个工作日。但是也有申请期间超过一个月以上的个别情况。因此建议您尽早办理申请签证的手续，以免耽误您的行程。
